Geothermal and Subsurface Consulting
SeisFOCUS provides technical support for geothermal feasibility studies and broader subsurface energy planning. Our work includes subsurface characterization for ATES, SCW, and related systems, along with coordination of geoscience input for engineering, facilities, and project teams. Our work frequently involves the integration of innovative monitoring and geophysical technologies into subsurface investigations. Work has also included advanced project derisking methods such as Permeable Fracture Imaging (PFI™) implemented in collaboration with Enegis.
Seismic and Geophysical Field Support
SeisFocus supports seismic and geophysical field operations through comprehensive station deployment, instrument installation, configuration, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance. Our expertise covers both borehole and near‑surface seismic systems, and we provide real‑time monitoring support throughout active field campaigns to ensure high‑quality data acquisition and reliable system performance.
Seismic Data Services
We provide comprehensive seismic data handling services, including formatting, conversion, organization, and QA/QC across a wide range of acquisition workflows and file types. Our team also supports database‑driven data management and transfer workflows for both monitoring projects and large‑scale seismic datasets, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and smooth integration into downstream processing and analysis systems.
Borehole Instrumentation and Monitoring
SeisFOCUS develops and builds borehole sensors for monitoring programs, providing support across the full instrumentation lifecycle—including system planning, sensor integration, field QA/QC, and data‑acquisition workflow design. Our experience includes deploying downhole monitoring systems and borehole seismic arrays for a wide range of subsurface investigations, ensuring reliable performance and high‑quality data in challenging field environments.
Geophysical Analysis and Interpretation
SeisFOCUS provides comprehensive analysis and interpretation of seismic and related geophysical data to support subsurface characterization and informed project decision‑making. We also deliver technical reporting and documentation that translate field observations and monitoring results into clear, actionable insights for project stakeholders.
Fiber Optic (DAS/DTS)
SeisFOCUS supports fiber‑optic distributed sensing technologies, including Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS), for subsurface monitoring and geophysical investigations. These systems enhance traditional seismic monitoring by providing continuous, distributed measurements along boreholes or fiber‑optic installations, enabling high‑resolution insight into subsurface processes and dynamic reservoir behavior.
